Privacy Policy

What we collect, why, how long we keep it, and your rights.

Effective: March 2026. Applies to continuous.engineering and all subdomains.

The short version: this site collects data from the AI chat and contact form to qualify consulting inquiries. Conversations are processed by Anthropic's Claude API and stored for 90 days. No cookies. No advertising. No data brokers. You can request deletion at any time.

What we collect

When you use the AI chat (Maya) or submit the contact form, we may collect:

  • Name, email address, phone number, and company name, if you provide them during the conversation or form submission
  • The full text of your conversation with Maya
  • Browser type, timezone, referring URL, and the page you were on when you started chatting
  • A session identifier stored in your browser's localStorage (not a cookie)

We do not run advertising trackers, analytics pixels, or third-party tracking scripts. The only external requests this site makes are to Bunny Fonts for typography and to our own API.

How we use it

Conversation data is used exclusively to:

  • Generate responses from Maya during your chat session
  • Extract contact information and intent using an AI classifier, so we can follow up if there is a consulting fit
  • Allow Maya to recognize you as a returning visitor and continue your conversation

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties except as described below.

Third-party processors

Anthropic (claude.ai): Conversation messages are sent to Anthropic's API to generate Maya's responses and to extract contact information. Anthropic processes these messages according to their privacy policy. We do not send messages to Anthropic for model training purposes under our API agreement.

Cloudflare: This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages and uses Cloudflare KV for data storage. Cloudflare processes all traffic as infrastructure. See Cloudflare's privacy policy for their data handling practices.

How long we keep it

Conversation data and contact information are stored for 90 days, after which they are automatically deleted from Cloudflare KV. Manifesto signatures are stored indefinitely (they are a public record by design) unless you request removal.

Cookies and local storage

This site does not use cookies for tracking or analytics. We store a session identifier in your browser's localStorage so Maya can recognize you as a returning visitor. This identifier never leaves your browser except as part of API requests to this site's own API. You can clear it at any time by clearing your browser's site data for continuous.engineering.

Your rights

Under GDPR and CCPA, you have the right to:

  • Access the data we hold about you
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Request a copy of your data in a portable format
  • Object to processing of your data

To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected] with your request. We will respond within 30 days. For deletion requests, include the approximate date of your conversation and any name or email you may have shared.

Data security

Data is stored in Cloudflare KV, which provides encryption at rest and in transit. Access to stored leads is protected by an admin password. The site runs on Cloudflare's infrastructure, which maintains SOC 2 and ISO 27001 certifications. API keys are stored as Cloudflare Worker secrets and are never exposed in client-side code.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to how we collect or use data, we will update the effective date above. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance.
